Putting the Pieces Together

We live in a world full of connections; I love it. We learn the meaning of a new word and it happens to appear in the next news article we read. We meet someone and all of a sudden bump into them at the grocery store. Just today I discussed something in my Philosophy class that I was reminded of later in a Marketing class – which is definitely not something I’d expect.

Why does this happen? Maybe we can’t help but focus on the new information we just learned. Maybe these connections are a way to help us solidify that very information in our brains (you know, synapses and memory paths and all that good stuff). Or maybe it goes to show that different areas of our life – professional, personal, educational, recreational – are always intertwining. And why wouldn’t they be? Each area of our lives already has one thing in common…us.
